New arrivals.

We just got them today in the mail, they looked a bit starved but I hope they survive.
It is 2 kinds of Iris flowers, a white strawberry plant and ( according to google translate ) a Plumbago flower / bush. Very curious about that one. It was called "Blyblomma" ( Lead flower ) in swe, and looked kinda like a cross between Geranium and Hydrangea. Beautiful.

The first few.

The first few flowers planted outside. I did a raid last Tuesday when my mom was at the dentist. I thought she'd like to come home to a few freshly planted flowers after having to go to such a horrible place.

Got a ten pack of these cuties, so well enough to fill 3 pots. 2 in this one, 2 in a small wall hanging one, and the last ones in a big brown pot just at the end of the stairs. Lovely.

Greenhouse season started !

Two plants that has survived from the previous summer. A white hanging Geranium and a pretty in pink Fushia. The later one has been a bit abused during the winter but she's still alive and blooming. This summer I've got two more. One white ( or at least I think it is ) and one purple-pinkish.

I think I'll move more of the Geraniums out tomorrow, and then in a few days or more I'll move the seedlings too. Need to plant more seeds also, only a few of them are down in the dirt so far. Not like I'm in a hurry tho. Spring has finally come and summer is closing in pretty fast too. Awesome.

Hello there.

So, yes. Haven't been here for a month now. Haven't been feeling so peachy for a while. Headaches, colds, bad moods in general. That kind of crap. At least I'm taking care of my flowers. I'm pretty sure they're feeling a lot better than I do.

I've even started to mark in my calender when I give them water. Just so I can remember it easily and make sure I don't forget them. I have a few babies now that I really want to stay alive. Actually it's 2 more than last time I wrote. I've bought a new Fushia. Dark pinkish and purple. Have had the same color before but it died unfortunately. But the other one from last summer Is alive and growing. *phew*

I also bought a new Geranium. A scented one, Coca Cola. Just adorable. Can't wait to see the flowers. But this also means that my window is not only full. It's stuffed like a turkey och thanksgiving. Oh well. I know I can find a way to make room somehow. And it's soon spring. I hope. Then some of them are going out to enjoy our few days of chilly but fairly nice Swedish summer.

Ah.. summer. Gimme. Now.

My Cola Geranium.

Ranting Wallflower.

It's snowing outside, and I'm feeling gloomy. I'm running out of days, again. Visiting my friend. I have to go "home" in just a few days now but I don't want to. I'm enjoying it here, I want to stay longer. Sometimes I feel like a traveler. Living a few weeks here and a few weeks there. No real place to call "My own home" but of course always a place where I can sleep and "call" my home. I know I know I shouldn't complain. It's ungrateful. So call me a bitch then.

If at least spring could come soon it would feel much better. Or honestly I don't know, but I pretend it will. With all the things I'm planning to do to that garden. I should be quite busy from time to time. If it all works. I wonder if I'll be able to fit it all. So many seeds and plants. Need to dig a new field. Possibly two. And maybe extend the strawberry one. I wish the greenhouse was bigger. So I could live in it. At least during summer. Nah who am I kidding.

Two of my flowers here are blooming. My pink Orchid and the flower cactus. And my "faith bush" that I cut down a while ago seems to be growing new leafs too. Along with the cut offs that I placed in water to get roots. Awesome. I'd like to take one of them with me but I have no room for it. *sigh* Oh yes, my Hoya has grown too. Sorry, too lazy to spell the common name. Speaking of names I learned a new one today. One I've been wondering about actually.

I found it by coincidence in a garden magazine I randomly bought yesterday. If the magazine is right, it's funnily enough called "Mind-your-own-business". A quick google search found me the right flower so I guess it's so. Apparently it can grow to become a garden weed in England. Funny, here I would doubt that it would survive outside at all. Oh well.

Seeds of happiness.

I've been good today. Replanting some flowers and digging through my storage once again. At least this time I found everything I wanted to find. Which was a few books, some flavored coffee and a mini coffee maker. Oh and yes, a few pots and soil ofc. I admit the soil wasn't top quality anymore but it worked, and a shame to throw away. I took the liberty of replanting a flower for my most awesome host and plant caretaker too. Forgot to take a pic of that tho, not that it matters much.

I also went to IKEA a few days ago. ( My but didn't like that. I hate the saddle on my bike. ) Didn't really need anything, just happened to be in the area. Lol. :-P But I found a set of 3 green paper cups with seeds. Thyme, Coriander and Basil. Cost me only 19:- sek so I had to buy it. I'm a sucker for growing stuff I know.  The same day my mom sent me an sms saying that the bunch of seeds we ordered online had arrived. Awesomeness. And it's soon time to start growing the first ones.

The mishap with all my seeds going down the drain doesn't feel that bad now. I've got new seeds and months of seeding and plant care in front of me. Spring should come around the corner in not too many weeks and I've started the work on applying to that florist school I found. Things are looking very peachy right now. I just hope I get accepted. Only bad thing is that my mood has been like a small roller coaster for a few days now but it's a good day today. Let's hope for more like it. :-)
