Planning Christmas.

School is over and done. And as much fun as it was, I am very happy that it's over now. And now it's time to plan the holiday. Me and my boyfriend are going up to visit my family over christmas. It's gonna be nice. Even with all the allergies and shit. I've missed all the animals even though they make my nose runny.

And almost everything is done now. I just need to coordinate some food and candy and then we're all set. We are both fussy vegetarians so we're not gonna have a "normal" dinner. But it will be awesome. Never been very interested in the "normal" christmas food anyways.

Tis' the season.

I found these lovely purple "vintage looking" x-mas balls on sale some weeks ago. I just had to buy them, I was considering using them as a christmas present. But decided just yesterday as we were putting up the x-mas tree, that I wanted to keep them. They're now hanging in our lovely tree.

It doesn't feel like it. But christmas is just around the corner. And I can hardly wait.

It's been a while.

I thought it had been longer even. But here I am again. Ready to write shit that nobody probably cares about. I've had a very bad few months. It's been very stressful with school. Life just had to wait. But it's going to be over in a week. After that, it's back to job hunting instead. Hopefully, a bit less stressful than school. So. Long story short. I'm back.

Summer holidays.

It's simply awesome.
Everything is green. The days are warm (or at least warmer). And I can do what ever I want. Like having a cup of tea in my "garden" and just enjoy life. We need to do that more. Enjoy life.

EyeEm.

Just thought I'd mention, that I have an EyeEm account too. I use it to post imgs of flowers and nature stuff. Pictures not posted here are most likely posted there. Just so you know. Just click ->here<- if you want to check it out. Thank you, and have a nice weekend.

Summer holiday blues.

Summer holiday. I should be happy relaxing. Instead I'm feeling down and stupid because I don't have a summer job. I'm trying to ignore it. I really need some time to just to nothing right now. I made it through the first half of this education without skipping school even once. Which is a first for me. Never been good at staying in school. But it got me so so tired. Especially these last two weeks out at the garden center. *sigh*

I can wait another semester before I can get a job and start paying for my self again. But can the people that I'm relying/living of do the same?

Random Picture Day, Sluggish.

So many things going on. And I'm catching a cold.
What a bad timing. *sigh*

So so tired.

My back feels like it's been working overtime and hasn't had a break in a month. At least. And it's only my third day working there. I admit, there's a lot of standing and bending and carrying. I though school was getting me in a better shape work wise. But apparently not. But then again. I guess it's not that weird that I'm not used to working daily when I haven't had a job for so long.

I'm still enjoying this tho. The one thing that does worry me right now besides fighting those spiders again, is not having enough things to do during the day. I don't want to find my self just standing there with nothing to do. Time goes so much slower then and it ends up being less entertaining. Not that work should be entertaining. It's work, but still. Isn't it better if it's also enjoyable ?

Anyway. Only two more days and then it's weekend. And I get an extra long weekend too. Because I'm going to be working next weekend, I get monday and tuesday of. You don't want to be working more than five days in a row. And after that weekend I'm thinking of maybe going away for a few days. Got some stuff to take care of. Also got two birthdays coming up. We'll see.

Half the way there.

First semester of school is done now. It's been very interesting, and at times confusing and annoying. But mostly, I've loved it. It's interesting and fun. I am almost a bit sad to see that this will end at the end of this year. But who knows. Maybe I'll get a job when I'm done. If not, There's always more gardening courses here to do. More stuff to learn.

Now I did say school is over for the semester. But I still have one thing left before I have my summer holiday. ( That is if I don't end up working.) And that is two weeks of learning how shit is done out in a real plant store. It's this week and the next, so I've already started. So far it's been awesome. I was a bit worried at first. But I think everything should go pretty ok.

I did however hurt my back a few weeks ago. It's still not up to par yet. I was a bit worried that that might be a hindrance during these two weeks. But since yesterday it is feeling much better than it has for weeks. So with a little bit of luck that will work out too. That's it for this update. I'm tired and a bit sore, and I need some rest. Wish me luck with the learning.

Random Picture Day, again.

Because I haven't had time to put up more of the imgs of the flowers and stuff we did last week. It was a very busy week, but we had loads of fun. At least I did. This is one of the gorgeous yellow roses we had to play with. Insta love, I wanted to take them all with me home.

Random Picture Day, Katsura.

From Tuesday last week in school. Planting Katsura trees. Today we tried "chip budding".
I don't ever want to do that again, and my cut thumb agrees with me.

Geranium galore, again.

These flowers are replacements for 3 others that died during a move this winter. I was sad to see them go, but happy to have found the exact same ones again now that they've started selling them in the store again. And yes it is 3 different kinds of Geranium.

In the white pot, Pelargonium zonale "Apple Blossom". In the black, Pelargonium peltatum "Balkon Red". And in the purple one, Pelargonium peltatum "Evka".

Flower week one, part 2.

This is what happened in school yesterday. From left to right, 3:rd, 2:nd and 1:st attempt. It was not easy. But very very fun. 3:rd one looks the best in my opinion, it's also the one that looks closer to what the teacher showed us to do.

Flower week one, part 1.

Here's what we did yesterday. I'm a bit late in my blogging because school really makes me tired. But anyhow. We were supposed to make this bouquet on Monday already. But the store had forgotten about our flower order somehow. So we had to wait until Tuesday. And even then we got worried and pulled a few gray hairs because they were late delivering.

But it was very fun when they finally got here. First we made fresh new cuts on each and every one of the flowers, and then we started crafting. And damn it's hard to make these bastards. No wonder you need an education to get this right. Not to mention practice, practice and more practice. But I love it. This week and the next is going to be awesome.

Insert long line of curses here.

I'm sick. Had this been 10 years ago or so, I would have been happy to stay home in bed. But not so much now, I love my school. It's going awesome. I don't want to miss a single day. I've only got one year there to study on.

But noo, I had to go and get my self sick. It started with a very slight cough. And now I can't say a single word. It is so frustrating. And ofc I've had to stay home from school for two days now. Good thing next week is a holiday.

But on the bright side. I found this in the kitchen today. Both the mother plant (picture on the right) and the baby I took from it (on the left) is growing. How awesome. I guess I don't need to worry about them now then.

I always worry a bit until i can see that my plants are rooted and growing. Also the mother plant is looking a bit old and weary. But this is good news. Yey !!!

Back To School.

That's right. Shit's been going on since last time I wrote. I'm back in school now, just finished my third week. And so far so good. Things have changed, or rather, I have changed. Apparently I'm a whole new person, very different from how I was last time I went to school. In a good way.

The picture below is taken in the entrance of the school. I'd say the plant is about 1m tall, pot and all. Can't remember the name right now, but I have a smaller version in my window. I hope it grows up to be just as big, or even bigger than this one some day. Cuz this one is really gorgeous.
