My Ducklings.

Called so because I've named them after the 4 kids in the Ducktales series. Now, I can't be entirely sure here. Since I can't see the labels. So I don't know which is which. But I think the top right is the female called "Anki". And the rest are ( in some order or the other ) Knatte, Fnatte and Tjatte.

Yes it's the swedish names. Go figure. I named them like this because I don't know what type of African Violet they are. And it was the first names that came to mind. Didn't remember what color they were either so this was a pleasant surprise when I came back to my old room.

Lilla Blåklockan.

This is the second of two African Violet Minis I got from a friend a while back. I've posted the other one already when it was in bloom. This one took a while longer to get there but finally it did, while I was away ofc. But, she was still at it when I came up to visit. Her name is "Lilla Blåklockan". Roughly translated into "Little Bluebell". I'm sure she has a "proper" english name too but I don't know it. This is also one of the three plants I took with me back home.

Maj.

That's what I've named this little beauty. Because I got her from a woman with the same name. It's a mini African Violet. Don't know the name specifically. So I call her Maj. The woman I got the leaf from had tried to make new plants of the mother plant before, but they never survived. So I had to try for my self ofc.

First thing that happens when I come home with the leaf is that I accidentally drop it and the stem breaks 5mm from the leaf. *sigh* It's a bit short but I planted it anyway and hoped for the best. Last time I saw it nothing had happened. Then a little while ago my mom told me that it had started to grow. Awesome.

This is how it looked when I came up to visit. I don't ( ofc ) remember how the flowers looked but I'm pretty sure it was some kind of mixed white. I guess we'll see in a while, if it stays alive. Damn, just remembered that I forgot to call and say that the leaf had survived. Oh well. I'll get back to her with that later.

Geranium surprise.

Omg omg omg. Look what I got the other day. A friend had a new Geranium and it was full of seed spears. I took a few seeds and will get more in a while. We don't know if they're fertile. And we absolutely don't  know how the flower will look if the seeds are fertile. So this will be Very interesting.
*tiny happy dance*

Lisa.

I've got this pretty little thing in the front of my window. Grown from seeds I planted last summer. I don't know why I like this one. But I do. And you can't find it anywhere nowadays. If you look hard tho, you can find seeds. I was so happy when I did. I plan on letting this babe out in the greenhouse this summer. Hopefully she'll grow big and last a long time.

Plant ER.

Trying to save this babe.
I'm not entirely sure it will work.
But I'll try.

New babies.

The blossoming sweetie on the left is "Little Lady". She's a "compact" Geranium. Never had one of these before, so this will be interesting. She's supposed to stay fairly small, but we'll see how that goes.

The tiny baby on the right is "Katy". This years "flavor" apparently. She was sort of an impulse buy really, but I couldn't help my self. She looked so lonely and tiny. ( And was freakishly cheap. )

I hope they'll be happy here.

Surprice.

Finally "home".
Was greeted by this awesome baby in my room.
The last of the African Violet leafs has grown.
Found 2 flowers blossoming and budding.
And only one plant died.
Not that bad.

Because I can.

And because I like flowers.
Here's a collage of the other Geranium that bloomed.

Number 5.

So, I've had 4 flowers blooming in my window this winter. Not at the same time ofc, and one of them simply didn't stop blooming after summer ended. She's a little bit special.  Either way it's a bit unusual, but look what I found this morning. This is the second Geranium that had decided to join the game, and if she blooms will be number 5. Very exciting. Funny I din't see that when I gave them a check over the other day.

I need to start marking them all up soon. I think I have a pretty good idea of "who is who". But it's always better to have them labeled too. And I think, if I remember it correctly. That this is my special generic one. She has a sort of purple-bluish color. But I am told, there are no blue geraniums. Interesting.

Plant care.

Yesterday I had some quality time with my plants. I'm so happy every time I check on them and see that they're still alive and doing ok. They're doing much better than last winter. I wonder if it is because I've put them all near the window and maybe the light from there together with the fixture is doing them good.

Last time many of them lost a lot of leafs. But probably much to do with me forgetting to water them properly. This winter is much better. I guess it's good to buy "special" plants that you care even more about. I have a few now who if they died, would make me so miserable. Only had one death so far.

That was a flower I had duplicates of so no worries there. I do hope the remaining one stays alive tho. But now, it's tea time. My room smells of Geraniums and dirt. Nice. And I have a big cup of tea and cupcakes that are waiting for me. It's a good day.

Awh moment.

The third of my four African Violet leafs I planted quite a while ago has started to grow now. It's always such a "awh" moment when I see it. I know I tried making plants like this when I was little, but I didn't have the patience to wait for them to grow. So ofc I never succeeded. But this is now the 4:th plant I've got growing like this. Yes, I am very pleased with my self. If I may say so. The fourth leaf is still green and doesn't show any signs yet of dying so I hope in time she'll grow too.

Looking good.

Last set of buds that came during winter never made it this far.
Very promising, very promising indeed.

Winter buds.

One of my Geranium flowers have decided to bloom too. This is the third winter I'm keeping flowers here in my little dungeon. One of them did try last year, but the buds died before they got anywhere. I suspect the light they're getting is just enough to keep them alive and ( in some cases ) grow. We'll see what happens with this one. Would be nice if it blooms.

My window experiment.

Still going strong.
Haven't seen this flower bloom since last x-mas.
Guess she likes winter.

Happiness in a pot.

Took care of my plants today. Real care.
Checked everything and made sure they're looking good and feeling happy. And apparently some of them are happier than others.

Found this beauty in the front row close to the window.
And here I had a suspicion that she might not be feeling that perky. I'm happy however, to be wrong.

Still gardening.

I've got this growing in the living room window.
I plan to eat them this week.
I'm sure it will be nommy nommy.

Blossom.

First time this plant is blooming. It's a baby taken from a bigger plant from my mom. Didn't think it would produce any flowers at all. Since it's been outside all summer but never even tried. The mother plant blossomed quite well tho. So it was very nice to notice these few but precious buds after I'd moved it back inside for a few days.
